Book Haul || Episode II

Guys.

Best. Book Haul. Ever.

No I am not joking. I would like to give myself a gold sticky star because I just pulled off my great heist, my best haul, my most amazing book purchase possibly in my life. This might possibly be an overreaction, but it could also not be just keeping reading and decide for yourself.

Last time I posted a book haul, I talked about getting them at your local library sale cart, and while I do stand behind the amazingness of that, I have found another gold mine.

Thrift Stores. *trumpets blare* Dudes - I found a pristine copy of "The Book Thief" and the first four books of PJO (two of which are hardcover)!!!!! *fangirl squeals* can't. even. right now.

Up north where I am, we are deep in the arctic freeze, apparently. Negative degree weather at night and all that fun stuff, so there's not a ton you can do without being very cold.

Bad news = eight people have been crammed into a tiny house together for far too long and everyone is starting to go slightly insane and the cat has cabin fever and all my siblings have chicken pox and ohmyword.

Good news = music.

Need I say more??

Book Haul || Episode I

Of all the places to find used books, the place I probably go most often is my library. It's literally at the end of my road, and they always have new books on the sale cart. The best part is how cheap they are! I mean, dudes, an adult hardcover is $1.

One. Dollar.

Granted there are some cons. I mean people aren't selling super tip-top shape hardcover books for a buck. They are old library books, so the pages are wrinkled, the covers are dented, and there are those cursed library stickers on them (that don't. come. off. WHY).

But when you are a poor (as in "so-broke-it's-really-quite-pathetic") high schooler, you can't really afford to buy nice books, so who am I kidding.

Anywho, here's my most recent library sale cart raid.

Style Crush | Erin Hanson

So I've decided to start a "Style Crush" series on de ole blog - because why not? I'm certainly not a very fashionable person, I mean at the moment I'm wearing a hoodie and jeans (the same hoodie and jeans I wear almost everyday), BUT being someone who likes to sew my own clothes I do like to admire people's styles.

So this week I'm admiring my favorite blogger possibly in the entire world Erin Hanson, from over at The Halfway Point.

I literally love every. single. thing about her style! And the fact that she sews pretty much every outfit that I love makes me love them ten times more.

She makes these gorgeous suspender skirts, and I already have like three planned that I want to make, because let's be honest here - when the words "suspender" and "skirt" are in the same sentence, you know there's good stuff happening.

Pretty much everything she wears are skirts and dresses - ADORABLE skirts and dresses. And then she pairs them with her brown lace-up boots and my heart just flutters away. Because perfection.

I haven't been listening to a ton of music lately - I've just been so busy. Inwardly screams at what I just said.  You know how life happens and you realize at the end of a day that you never listened to any music? That's been my month. But these songs above have been my current favorites for sure.

I realized I'm getting into rap a little more....? Do you guys have any good rap songs you like? Let me know your current listenings and I'll give them a try. :D
